AI Agents and Automation in Riyadh

QuantumBlock builds AI agents for Riyadh companies, delivered from Dubai with on-site sprints in Riyadh for workshops and go-live. Saudi Arabia declared 2026 the Year of AI, and we connect agents to your systems through MCP, hosted in-Kingdom or in Bahrain when NCA residency applies, with guardrails and a human hand-off.

We reply on WhatsApp within one business hour (Sunday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 Gulf time) and within 24 hours otherwise.

The cost of getting this wrong

What getting AI Agents and Automation wrong costs you

The Year of AI has turned Riyadh into a city full of AI pilots that never leave the slide deck. A vendor demos an agent on a clean sample, a budget gets approved because the mandate says move fast, and six months later nobody can say whether it saved an hour or cost one, because no baseline was ever written down. SDAIA's own guidelines exist to unify national efforts precisely because so many of these pilots are running in parallel with no shared measure of success.

The second failure is a residency question asked too late. An agent built on a foreign cloud region works fine in the demo, then a government client or an NCA audit asks where the customer data actually sits. Saudi PDPL has been fully enforceable since September 2024, and NCA ECC controls expect in-Kingdom data residency and failover for regulated workloads. Rebuilding the hosting layer after launch costs far more than choosing Oracle Riyadh, STC Cloud or a HUMAIN region on day one.

The third cost is a promise that cannot be kept. Plenty of outside vendors claim a Riyadh office, a partner network or Arabic-speaking staff on every call, and the claim falls apart the first time a client asks to visit. We would rather tell you plainly what we are: a Dubai-based team that flies in for the workshops, the kickoff and the go-live, honest about the parts we have not built yet.

A different way to buy engineering

How we deliver AI Agents and Automation differently

We start the same way everywhere: one workflow, one baseline. In week one we sit with the people who do the work in Riyadh, pick the process with enough volume to matter, and measure it as it runs today. Then we connect your systems through MCP, the open protocol that exposes your CRM, ERP or WhatsApp number to the agent through a small server with exactly the permissions the job needs. Before it goes near a customer it has to pass an evaluation set built from your own cases, including the messy ones.

Delivery runs from our Dubai office, with on-site sprints in Riyadh for the sessions that genuinely need a room full of people: kickoff, stakeholder workshops and go-live. Between visits, the engineering continues from our Yerevan team, managed from Dubai, with only an hour's difference from Riyadh time. When your data needs to stay in the Kingdom, we host on Oracle Cloud Riyadh and Jeddah, STC Cloud or HUMAIN's sovereign infrastructure, or on Google's Dammam region, matched to your actual NCA ECC obligation rather than a default we happen to prefer.

Fixed scope first, a demo every week, and you own all of the code.

How we deliver AI Agents and Automation differently

We build with the agent SDKs listed above, chosen for the job, with a model you can swap later because the MCP integrations belong to you, not to us. If a government tender is on the horizon, Etimad vendor registration needs a Saudi commercial registration, which sits on our roadmap; today we scope and build the technical work and coordinate with your Etimad-registered channel for the paperwork side.

How it works

How the engagement runs, week by week

  1. Week 1

Pick one workflow and a baseline

We sit with the team that owns the work, choose the one workflow with enough volume to matter, and measure it as it runs today, in hours, response times and error rates, so the result can be proven later.

  2. Week 2

Connect systems through MCP, build the agent

Your CRM, ERP, inbox or WhatsApp number are exposed to the agent as MCP servers with the narrowest permissions that still get the job done. The first working version runs on real, anonymised cases by the end of the week.

  3. Week 3

    Guardrails, evaluation set, human hand-off

We build a test set from your real cases, including the awkward ones, and the agent must pass it before it goes near a customer. Anything outside its lane goes to a named person with the full context attached.

  4. Week 4

    Production, measurement, hand-over

The agent goes live on your infrastructure, logs every action, and is measured against the week one baseline. You get the code, the prompts, the evaluation set and a runbook your team can operate.

Agent frameworks

  • OpenClawdeploy with care

The most-adopted open agent framework of 2026, and the source of a CVSS 8.8 remote-code-execution CVE and about 135,000 exposed instances. We deploy it behind a gateway or replace it.

  • Hermes Agentself-hosted

Nous Research's MIT-licensed, self-hosted agent with persistent memory. Our default when data must stay in the UAE or KSA.

  • Claude Agent SDKproduction

Anthropic's SDK behind Claude Code, MCP-native. Our first choice for coding and document agents.

  • OpenAI Agents SDKproduction

Agents inside the ChatGPT workspace most Gulf teams already pay for. Low-friction first agent.

  • LangGraph and CrewAIproduction

Code-first multi-agent orchestration for bespoke workflows with many hand-offs.

  • n8nproduction

Visual automation with 400+ integrations, self-hostable on a UAE region. The fastest path for SME back-office automation.

  • Microsoft Copilot Studioenterprise

Agents inside Microsoft 365 for organisations standardised on Microsoft, including most government entities.

Protocols

  • MCPstandard

Model Context Protocol: build an ERP, CRM or WhatsApp connector once and use it from any agent.

  • A2Aemerging

Agent2Agent under the Linux Foundation, for agents from different vendors to cooperate. Relevant to enterprise and government tenders.

How we build

  • Claude Code, Codex, Cursordelivery

We build with the same coding agents we sell, so a five-person team ships like fifteen. You pay for outcomes, not headcount.

  • Computer-use agentsemerging

For legacy back-office systems with no API, agents that use the screen like a person, under supervision.

Fit

Who this is for

  • A Riyadh trading company, contractor or mid-size enterprise that wants to move on the Year of AI mandate with one measured pilot, not a wall of decks.
  • A company that installed an agent such as OpenClaw and now needs it hardened, audited or replaced before it touches customer data.
  • A team that needs data kept in-Kingdom under NCA ECC controls, with a partner honest about not yet having a Saudi CR or a Riyadh office.
  • Not for you if you want an AI strategy deck with no working demo behind it. Start with the AI Opportunity Audit instead, which exists to find one real workflow first.

Deliverables

What you get

At the end of the AI Agent Pilot in Riyadh you own a working system, not a slide deck:

  • One agent in production on one workflow, running on your infrastructure or an in-Kingdom cloud region.
  • A written baseline from week one and a before-and-after report measured against it.
  • MCP servers for each connected system, with permissions documented for your NCA and PDPL records.
  • An evaluation set built from your real cases, so future changes to the agent can be tested the same way.
  • Guardrails: approval steps for irreversible actions, confidence thresholds and a human hand-off with context.
  • The code, prompts, configuration and a runbook, in your repositories, under your accounts.
  • Claude Agent SDK
  • OpenAI Agents SDK
  • LangGraph
  • CrewAI

Questions buyers ask us

Do you have an office or a CR in Riyadh?

No. We deliver from Dubai with on-site sprints in Riyadh for discovery, workshops and go-live, so the people who need to be in the room are, without carrying a second entity before the work has proven itself.

Can an agent run entirely inside the Kingdom?

Yes, when the workload needs it. We host on Oracle Cloud Riyadh and Jeddah, STC Cloud or HUMAIN's sovereign infrastructure, matched to whatever NCA ECC residency and failover requirement your project carries.

What is an AI agent and how is it different from a chatbot?

A chatbot answers questions. An agent takes actions, such as updating a CRM, drafting a quote or booking a viewing, by calling your systems with defined permissions, then hands off to a person when it is unsure.

Does the 2026 Year of AI change what you build?

It changes the pace of the conversation, not the method. Saudi Arabia declared 2026 the Year of AI, and SDAIA's guidelines push agencies and enterprises to move, but we still start with one measured workflow rather than a wall of pilots that never ship.

Can the agent work in Arabic?

Yes. Current models handle Gulf and Saudi Arabic well, including mixed messages with English. We test on your real Arabic cases before launch, and evaluate Arabic-first models where quality on Arabic matters most.

Is OpenClaw safe to use in a Saudi business?

Not as installed out of the box. It has had a serious remote code execution flaw and poisoned skills in its marketplace. We deploy it behind a gateway with locked-down permissions, or replace it with self-hosted Hermes Agent.

How do you close the Saudi talent gap for an AI project?

We do not wait for a hire. Saudi Arabia faces a projected shortage of 663,000 skilled workers by 2030, so we bring the engineering team and hand your staff a runbook, rather than leaving the project stalled on a job posting.

Do you support Etimad tenders for an agent build?

Not directly. Etimad vendor registration needs a Saudi commercial registration, which is on our roadmap. We scope and build the technical work today, and coordinate with your Etimad registered channel for the tender paperwork.
