Is your company ready for AI agents? A 12-question score

Answer 12 quick questions about your data, workflows, team and compliance, and get a score from 0 to 100 with a band: ready, nearly, or not yet. Every question you answer no or partly to becomes a concrete next step, ordered by how much it matters, so you leave with a plan even when the score is low.

Answer 12 quick questions

Yes, partly or no, about two minutes. The score on the right updates as you go.

Data

Does the data this process needs live in a system of record, such as a CRM, ERP or database, rather than spreadsheets or email threads?
Can that data be reached through an API or a scheduled export, without someone copying it by hand?
Is there a named person who owns that data and can approve an agent reading or writing it?

Process

Is the workflow you want to automate written down as a series of steps, rather than known only by one person?
Does this workflow handle more than 200 cases a month?
Do you already track a measurable outcome for this workflow, such as turnaround time or cost per case?

People

Does this project have an executive sponsor who can remove blockers and approve budget?
Can your team give a few hours a week for four weeks to review outputs and give feedback?
Is someone named to own the agent after launch, handling exceptions and improvements?

Compliance

Have you mapped what personal data this workflow touches and why?
Has your team decided which region will host this data and any agent that touches it?
Does a vendor security review exist for any third party or agent that will touch this data?

Your score

Not yet: here is the order to fix things.

  • Move the source data into one system of record before an agent can read it reliably.
  • Add an API or a scheduled export so an agent can read the data without manual copying.
  • Secure an executive sponsor who can remove blockers and approve budget.
  • Name a data owner who can approve what an agent may read and write.
  • Write the workflow down as explicit steps so it can be handed to an agent.
  • Bundle this workflow with related ones, or wait until volume passes roughly 200 cases a month, so a pilot has enough cases to prove itself.
  • Start tracking a measurable outcome, such as turnaround time or cost per case, before the pilot begins.
  • Free up a few hours a week from the process owner for four weeks so the pilot gets reviewed feedback.
  • Name an owner who will run the agent day to day once it is live.
  • Map the personal data this workflow touches and the lawful basis for using it.
  • Decide the hosting region for the data and the agent before you start building.
  • Set up a vendor security review step before any third party or agent gets access to this data.

Questions about the AI readiness score

What does the AI readiness score measure?

It checks four things that decide whether an AI agent pilot can succeed: whether your data lives in a real system and can be reached by an API, whether the workflow is documented with enough volume to matter, whether you have an executive sponsor and team time, and whether the compliance basics are in place.

How is the score calculated?

Each of the 12 questions carries a weight from 1 to 3 based on how much it affects a pilot. A yes counts in full, a partly counts half, and a no counts nothing. The weighted total becomes a score from 0 to 100.

What do the three bands mean?

Ready, 75 and above, means a focused pilot could show a measurable result within four weeks. Nearly, 50 to 74, means the basics are close but a short audit should close the remaining gaps first. Not yet, below 50, means there is real groundwork to do, and the tool orders it for you.

What if I answer no to most questions?

That is useful information, not a bad outcome. The result panel lists every gap in the order it matters most, starting with whichever would block a pilot fastest, such as data trapped in spreadsheets or no named executive sponsor.

Do you store my answers?

No. The score is calculated in your browser and nothing is sent to us. We only see what you choose to tell us if you message us from the result panel.

What happens after I get my score?

A ready score points to a short pilot with a measurable result in four weeks. A nearly or not yet score points to a short audit that closes the specific gaps the tool found. Either way, message us from the result panel and we will suggest the right next step for your score.
